Highlights

Rich System Apps

All Systems Softwares are rebuilt from scratch for seamless user experience and consistent performance with CrownUI, our custom UI framework

CrownLink

Custom multi device connectivity engine powered by LLTS protocol pairs your phone, tablet and remote machines. Clipboard, notifications, files, calls and running agents move between them through preconfigured Tailscale network.

Migration Assistant

The assistant copies your files, dotfiles and app data, maps your package list to Arch equivalents and verifies every byte with checksums before anything lands on the new install.

Endless agentic customization

Change anything by editing a file, clicking a setting or asking an agent. Every route leads to the same plain config.

Customizing your system with configs

Use our advanced config manager to customize everything from one folder

Redesigned the entire graphics stack

We started with CachyOS and then rebuilt the entire layer that you interact with to perfect the user experience

Crownpositor

Smooth on modest hardware

A Wayland compositor written in Rust and tuned for low memory. Rendering is fully GPU accelerated with direct scanout, so an idle frame costs almost nothing.

CrownUI

No stutter, even on first launch

Our UI framework for Wayland, built on the Impeller renderer. Shaders are compiled ahead of time, so the first animation is as fluid as the hundredth.

CachyOS Kernel

Faster on the hardware you own

We ship linux-cachyos: a tuned EEVDF scheduler with a 1000 Hz tick, compiled with Clang ThinLTO and AutoFDO profiling, so the desktop stays responsive under load.

Feel the difference in everything

We kept the lean Arch base and cut what slows a desktop down. Measured on real hardware, not marketing slides.

Your system answers to you

Power without giving up control. Every layer can be inspected, limited and undone.

Plugins only touch what you allow

Each plugin and agent declares the capabilities it needs: files, network, windows, devices. You approve them one by one and revoke any of them from Settings.

Every line is open to read

CrownOS is open source under the GPL. The compositor, CrownUI and every system app are public, so anyone can audit how they work.

Your devices talk only to each other

Crown Link pairs devices with keys that never leave them and encrypts every packet end to end. No account, no cloud relay.

Any update can be undone

A Btrfs snapshot is taken before every update and plugin install. If something breaks, roll back from the boot menu in seconds.

A full desktop in under five minutes

Installs, configures and boots to a working desktop that runs in under 1.2 GB of memory.
